Who this is for

If your free zone, bank or the FTA asks for audited financials, this is the service.

Many UAE free zones require audited financial statements with licence renewal, and mainland companies increasingly need them for corporate tax filings, bank facilities and tender prequalification. The audit itself must be performed by a registered audit firm. What slows companies down is everything before the auditor arrives: books that need cleaning, schedules that don't reconcile, and queries nobody has time to answer.

That gap is what we close. We get your accounts audit-ready, gather quotes from registered audit firms, and manage their queries until the report is signed, so the audit costs less and finishes faster.

  • Free zone companies with audited financials due at renewal
  • Mainland companies preparing for corporate tax or bank facilities
  • Groups needing stand-alone audits for each entity, including for ICV
  • First-time audits where the books need work before any auditor signs
Days, not months.
An audit drags when the auditor becomes your bookkeeper.

Most audit delays are preparation problems: unreconciled accounts, missing schedules, unanswered queries. We fix those before the audit starts, which is why our clients' audits close quickly and why the audit firm's fee stays down.

Questions

External audit FAQs

Is an external audit mandatory in the UAE?
It depends on your licence and circumstances. Many free zones require audited financial statements at licence renewal, banks typically request them for facilities, and audited statements are required for certain companies under UAE corporate tax rules. Tell us your free zone or licence type and we will confirm what applies to you.
Who signs the audit report?
An independent audit firm registered with the UAE Ministry of Economy. ZS Chartered Accountants prepares your file and manages the process. We are an advisory firm and we do not issue audit opinions.
How much does an external audit cost in the UAE?
It depends on your size and how audit-ready your records are, which is exactly why we quote fixed fees from your trial balance upfront. Clean, prepared books cost meaningfully less to audit, and that preparation is the part we do.
How long does an external audit take?
A prepared file can be audited in one to three weeks. Unprepared books are what stretch audits into months, so we do readiness first.
Can you audit a company with messy or incomplete books?
Yes, that's the most common starting point. We rebuild and reconcile the accounts first, then bring in the audit firm once the file can withstand review.
Do you handle the audit needed for ICV certification?
Yes. Stand-alone audited financial statements are a requirement for ICV certification, and we run both together, the audit through a registered audit firm and the ICV process through MoIAT-approved certifying bodies.
